About Triad Tails & DesiLu Pet Portraits

Triad Tails is a storytelling project created to shine a light on the pets, people, and organizations working every day to help animals across the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. Through photography and storytelling, our goal is simple: help more shelter pets get seen, celebrated, and ultimately adopted.

One of the ways we do that is through our Friday Foster Feature, where we highlight adoptable pets from local shelters and rescues — especially the ones who may need a little extra visibility to find their people.

Triad Tails is created by DesiLu Pet Portraits, a Winston-Salem area dog photography studio run by Lauren and Dave. What started as a photography school love story has grown into a business built around photographing pets and the people who love them. At home, our own pack of six rescue dogs keeps life interesting and constantly reminds us why this work matters.

We believe every pet deserves to be seen — and every tail has a story worth telling.
